Captain of the Saudi national team, Yasser began his career with Al Qadisiya where he gained fame for his scoring abilities and skills with the ball.

Named Asian player of the year in 2007, he has played in the FIFA 2006 world cup where he scored a goal against Tunisia and was monumental in the victory against Valencia CF with his local club Al-Hilal.

Al-Qahtani is Ranked 6th in The World's Top Goal Scorers 2007 by International Federation of Football History & Statistics.
