Better known as 'The High Dam' and 'The Beast of Africa' amongst his fans, the 'dancing' goalkeeper plays for African Championship club Al-Ahly.

Considered as one of the best African goalkeepers, El-Hadary was twice voted ‘Best Goalkeeper in the African Cup of Nations', first in Egypt 2006 and more recently Ghana 2008.
