The Egyptian national striker who plays for El Zamalek is considered as one of Africa’s best in the business.

In 2003 he signed for ENPPI and finished top scorer in 2006, helping the club win their first Egyptian Cup, as well as being runners-up in the Egyptian Premier League. He also impressed in the 2006 African Cup of Nations, scoring to take Egypt into the final which they won.

Following a year at Lokomotiv Moscow, he then signed for Egyptian side El Zamalek, becoming their main goal scorer with impressive displays that have seen him being linked with Europe's best.
